World of Darkness MMO

Just wondering if any one else is following (the slow) development of this title. From the information I been finding it is sounding very good. RP wise this would be amazing. I will try and gather some more information later for those are who interested.

The world will be based on vampire the masquerade in modern times. So many clans to choose from and also you don't have to be a vampire, you can be human, maybe a ghoul. Also it will be all in one single world. So no loads of servers all over the place.

Would love to hear others thoughts on this.

I've been asked countless times by several people to try this RP thing, but it just confuses me so much... an MMO would stop my brain hurting. XD

Absolutely love the sound of that, especially being forced to chose two derangements!

I just love the malks. RP wise amazing fun. Another cool feature of the game you can progress through out the game world with out killing anything. Love all the back story to the malks as well. There is many other interesting clans like the Tzimisce who flesh craft to make creature or to even to change their own body in alien like forms, abit like crazy artists.

My problem when it comes to WoD over all online. Everyone only goes "Vampire vampire vampire!" and forget everything else. Sure, they have good vampires, but compared to many things in WoD their vampires are bloody boring. >:

That is correct. Also I for one will also have a human charater maybe a hunter or even a slave which could a fun RP. I personally love the WOD vampires but I do respect they don't tickle every ones taste. I glad to see other interested in this maybe we could all join up togther ingame in the future. The details I have been finding out are very interesting indead. Also some simiulation tests (they could be fake not sure yet) are looking amazing.

My biggest disappointment with this is that they decided to go with oWoD instead of nWoD. I understand why of course, it being the more fleshed out setting and catering to the very loyal oWoD fans. It makes perfect sense.

That oWoD is also, as a rule, higher power, focuses more on ancient conspiracies and legendary power and has less political complexity* probably helps make it a more attractive mmo.

*in masquerade than in requiem anyways.

Still, a pity I think.

Definitely interested in this, and the fact that it's oWoD instead of silly nWoD makes it even better.

Will be rolling Gangrel and/or Tremere.

I heard you Gangrel's don't like us malks much . but we find you funny so I love you <3 . Also political wise there is hints of nWoD being mixed in here. Info out there says you can be fully political in your play as I said before not needing to kill, maybe getting others to do it for. Even hints that you can become a prince of a city.

Also wondering is there any one out there planning Tzimisce, I will have to make one =D

Gangrels don't like the Malkavians for one reason... The malkavs are friggin mad. And the risk of going into frenzy around them seem rather high, which means yet another beastial feature. Otherwise, they are allright... Sort of..

As soon as this comes out I will probably roll.. Umm. Darn.
I can't decide right now if I'll be Brujah, Gangrel or Toreador..

Sooooo looking forward to this! I've been drooling over the vids and (VERY) limited info since it was announced. Been playing OWoD for years, and it's by far my biggest favourite in the world of Pen and Paper RPG's. Also been to several Larps set in the realm, so I'm like a bouncy little schoolgirl over this.

I'll be trying out all the clans, of course, but REALLY looking forward to seeing what the Tzimisce and Lasombra are like.

I also wonder if this is before or after the Giovanni/Cappadocian thing happened..

I really feel alone in wanting to play a Mage or a Warewolf... *goes to hide and plot destruction*

You never know its still early mages and the doggies may be in it. I'm also interested in what the Tzimisce will be like. when it will be set i'm really not sure. But im sure will we will find soon enough. When i make my malk im gonna go and give you all a crazy hug, mostly you gangrels >=)

I'm curious regarding Mage and Werewolf aswell. Will be interesting to see how the world will look when it's finished.

As for -when- it will finish, I imagine 2013 at the earliest. :<

When/if it comes out, I'll be getting in on some of that Toreador action. For some reason I can't help but identify with the clan... *Takes a sip out of his glas of wine as he admires himself in the mirror* Strange... I wonder what it could be.

I rekcon about 2013 as well, they say 2012 but I don't belive enough has been shown to make us think its even near alpha stage.
