Caer Darrow, A step in the past. Empty Caer Darrow, A step in the past.

Gear set's / ideas

Shadowcraft Cap
Imbued Netherweave Robe
Grand Marshal's Warhammer
Grand Marshal's Battle Hammer
Grand Marshal's Swiftblade
Grand Marshal's Demolisher
Any other gear would be appreciated, such as militiamen gear etc!

Hello to all who read this!
This is the full detailed reported of the event that I plan to host in Caer Darrow on PROBABLY (No date set)
Note, this not a guaranteed date but merely an an assumption for now.
Let's begin,
First of all I suggest people to read this to understand some more about Caer Darrow

http://www.wowwiki.com/Caer_Darrow

Secondly, this event is strictly in the past before the third war, meaning you will most likely be RPing a different
character ICly so dying won't really matter.

To brief, there will be notable figures being RPed such as Kel'Thuzad, and Alexei Barov.
Both those places are already more or less taken by the RPer's I have thought will fulfill the job perfectly.
Both those positions carry OOC duties as well as IC, such as;
Helping me organize,
OOCly manouvering people around and generally showing good leadership skills.
We are currently looking for;
A Bishop of Caer Darrow - This position has minor duties such as OOCly & ICly leading the Priests.
Commander of the Caer Darrow Militia - ICly and OOCly leading the forces assigned to you, (must be experienced in military RP)
Grand Crusader of the Silver Hand Paladins positioned in Caer Darrow - Another ICly and OOCly important position,
Mayor of the town will be Alexei Barov.
Commander of the Scourge Forces - An ICly and OOCly capable preferably death knight roleplayer with plenty of experience.

The other type of things we are looking for;
Civilians,
Soldiers,
Paladins, (Yes there is a difference)
Priests,
Scourge soldiers
Cult of the Damned members,
For now they are the only participating factions, so choose which one you would be best suited for and begin gathering a good RP set!

P.S If one of those groups has to many people, I will be forced to even out the numbers and transfer people into different groups.

Alright basically this event will occur on three different days, each day having a major stage.
In between all this there will be minor events such as deaths of seargents and what-not.

Basically, Stage 1 will be the fighting that breaks our at Sorrow Hill after a hopefully massive Scourge force attack the rather small garrisson causing them to flee.
An emergancy town meeting get's called almost instantly with the Mayor, Commander, Grand Crusader, Bishop attending and discussing.
A decision is reached to evacuate the surrounding lands and lock up Caer Darrow and prepare to be sieged.
All this followed by Minor RP events such as scouting parties, locking the gates, gathering food, making weapons,

Stage 2
This stage will consist of the Scourge attacking the Bridge and burning the surrounding farms + besieing Caer Darrow appropriately.
The cultists will begin to stir and the Cult of the Damned, and Kel'Thuzad should be RPing inside the basement of the Caer Darrow keep.
Oh by the way for this part, I need two Caer Darrow militiament to be corrupt or in the Cult to steer people away from the basement!
The keep will serve as the main base of activity, the hive really, stage 2 will be followed by the priests spreading the Light and attempting to raise morale.

Stage 3
The last and final day when the Cultists, Alexei Barov, Kel'Thuzad emerge from the basement and open the gates for the Scourge.
The final battle ensues by the fountain in the middle of Caer Darrow with everybody participating, resulting in a win for the Scourge and IF
Anybody wants they can RP as the dead and hopefully more RP will follow with the Cultists, kel'Thuzad and the Scourge forces.

Stage 1 will occur on Day 1,
Stage 2 on day 2,
And Stage 3 obviously on day 3.
Each of these will be spaced out properly so people can make it!
There will be a definite gear set for every type of person except priests and Civilians, The Militiamen are expected to have similiar outfits and cultists too
The Scourge forces will be alright in dark evil looking gear.
I may have missed any side-notes..but everybody is welcome aside from Gnomes, Night elves and Draenei's, some dwarves and one or two gnomes are welcome.
Mainly I'd like to see Humans inhabiting Caer Darrow,
The Scourge forces can consist of any race bar Draenei and Night elf, same with the Cultists.

This is an Alliance only and -everybody- is welcome, for the more important positions or for any other information contact me in game.
Your's truely,
-Ephitos.
P.S Can you post all idea's to me in-game, seeing as I can't check here. Thanks very much , cheers!

I cannot personally co-ordinate this event, this is merely an idea. I have a list of people able for each position but planning and piecing the whole thing together is something I cannot do, I hope somebody can find the time (with my assistance) to lead it and produce a fine role-playing event which the whole community can get involved regardless of your IC position in current society.

P.S.S
I may have missed a few minor details, feel free to ask questions and / or nominate people up for the tasks.
The following people I'd like to see filling the positions;
Grand Crusade of the Silver Hand ; Eloresh
Alexei Barov ; Perturbo
Bishop of Caer Darrow ; Osmand / Jeanpierre
Commander of the Caer Darrow Militia;Tarvik / Meralynn / Falrock
Kel'Thuzad ; Ataris, Mordazan,
Scourge Commander ; Ezthele
Citizens should include people from every guild, regardless of who you are NOW. I'd love to see from dwarves acting as riflemen and a few night elven druids RPin' Belves. Also refugee's from Andorhal would be welcome, and you could even spin off a whole "plague from the refugee's" concept, by where they get caught and executed.
Anyway, everybody's welcome.
Peace out.

This sounds so interesting, but also so complicated! I would love to participate, maybe as a civilian or a priest. Good luck with this, Ephitos, and I can't wait to see how this will turn out.

(I have a question though. Why can only night elf druids role-play as blood elves?)

Oh my apologies , I meant druids ICly, the story of Caer Darrow on wikki that there was a druid presence there for several reasons, that would be my take on things anyway.

The runestone? Is the plan that the druids try to "rebuild" the runestone out of the altar of storms?

I honestly do not know what kind of role the elves would play there, but having them there would open the event to Night Elves acting as High Elves. Correct? I'm willing to bend unknown lore in order to welcome a different race into the event.
The runestone is gone, we know that much, but the presence of Druids could still be explained away somehow.

Fix'd.

I'm not quite sure where, in the timeline, this event would take place. I'd imagine there would be a difference in if the High Elves are there because of Anasterian's orders to help the humans or if it's the ones that didn't leave when he called them back. *shrugs* maybe a group of high elves that are discussing if they should stay and fight the scourge or follow their orders and fall back.

This is directly after the fall of Andorhal in my presumption, and yes that's a good idea already. Whereupon the Scourge marched through Sorrow Hill(Stage 1) and camped there as an organized army. That's personally where I would put it, thanks for the input.

This is great, but I can't do this event myself due to well.. IRL circumstances. I can't guarantee being on for those 3 days for x amount of time.

Is ANYBODY interested in co-ordinating?

Looks like I'll need to find an item or two. I'll hopefully attend as a soldier, 'cause this looks like fun. Very Happy

If this is ever kicked in the air, I'd be game to play a represent of the Silver Hand, yet I believe several others of the Argent Crusade would be whilling to do so aswell, as most of us have IC relatives to these past events.

I'm against people RPin' as their relatives in there past. That will create more reason for people to bitch about who's better, I'd rather people became some random knight, peasant, cultist without any connection to what we are now.

I referred to us playing as one from Lordaeron as we're quite used to it. :I Not that we would be ourselves.
Maybe a father or mother who was there died or escaped or what ever. Cousin maybe brother or sister. Making it more or less related to our own character, which would make the event more interesting to live out the pass of our relatives. Smile
