Stratholme is being retaken!

"Sadness, pain... Death. That is all that has surrounded us, and against what we have fought for years. Betrayed by one, that no one would have ever suspected of. Someone that was going to gain the power, wealth and love of his people, along with the strength, might and blind obedience of his army. But... Blizzard has shown us that Stratholme, sooner or later, will be back in the hands of those who live once again, so we have taken advantage of that and made an event to ICly assault the place, and do exactly what is shown in there. The Crusade (the faction, and us) takes the place, and begins the full assault to the place. So from now on, Stratholme can be said ICly that has been assaulted and is in process to be completely retaken from the grip of the Scourge!

It was EPIC!!! Now let's tab back in and see all our wounded are tended to hrmmm ^_^

Moving on, how exactly do you intend to put out the fires that are.. apparantly.. magically ignited? Hopefully you'll RP that out instead of suddenly claiming; "Oh, we own the city now". Not to mention that given the state of the city, they'd be far better pressed knocking it entirely down, waiting years for the soil to 'renew' and building atop of that.

Just a thought.

Well, obviously what ever we say about the city being rebuilt or not will be useless until Blizzard says what will happend with it. I want to believe that the city will someday regain its beauty and that we might even be able to RP in it as we do in Stormwind, perhaps.
ICly, all we can do, is say that the city is under assault to further clean it from all the Scourge members that still hide in there.

Just seen you did edit your post, yeah you are right indeed. I would love to say that we are going to RP that we put out the fires, or that we are going to do this or that... But we can't. We do not know what way Blizzard is going to go with Stratholme, if it will be remade, destroyed, brought to ashes to see it rebuilt... Who knows, do you suggest something?

Well, even with today's technologies some blazes can take weeks to put out, or just occur themselves. After 'cleansing' it of Undead, the next step of action would be to find a way to extinugish those fires, but given that it is magic (likely felfire?) keeping it alight, you'd need to find some way of putting it out.. at the same time tossing 'blessed or magical' water on it isn't going to do much - But hey, thats for the Golden Crusade to work out, right?

After that? Make sure the buildings are all demolished.. you can't rebuild on charred wood after all. Then have the Cenarion Circle roll in and see to the lands being reborn.

Actually the guild Argent Crusade doesn't really have to worry about much more in Stratholme. Because Crusade Commander Eligor Dawnbringer is now in charge of the city's rebuilding. So letting out some fires and such is their job.

Blizzard has redone the zone and fixed some quests, I agree you should begin your assault, but don't get your hopes up I assure you that it will not be an enterable zone for a long while, if ever.
