[H] The oracle

Hello there. Basically I've this idea of an oracle who has unknown origin/age (it's clear that he's very old though) and he has come to Silvermoon city for an unknown purpose. However, many come to seek his amazing power to see into the future and such. He has high knowledge in all schools of magic, but his old age hinders his ability greatly (just to decrease his power so people don't get the wrong idea)

I was wondering if anyone would like to help expand on this idea and some RP could be made?

He's a belf, but I may make his real race something more exotic. I was thinking of him coming to Sillyspoon for some reason, be it money from the future readings he gives, for benefiting Silvermoon's cause or even a dark uprising.

Basically it'll be a normal RP at the beginning but then hopefully it'll expand so much as to the creation of a new guild or a new community.

The cave thing is a good idea But I think to get the RP more recognized it'd have to start at Silvermoon so he is known and he goes back to his hermit residence (the cave ^^)

I wouldn't go overboard with exotic traits. Better to make a character stand out through personality.

I'm curious about how you intend to RP out his ability to foresee the future while accounting for not actually having that ability as a player. Are you going to limit his predictions somehow to things that you can directly control yourself?

Either be really really vague or start by just throwing out random words till the customer gives a reaction?

Or actually ask the people OOCly about their future plans. That's actually one of the most common ways IC oracles work

Another idea is to be intentionally vague and use a lot of metaphors or statements that are open for interpretation.

Yeah, I was thinking of /w the person and finding out their future and then saying it in riddle form.

Please pm me so I can maybe talk to you in-game aswell so we can get this known more and more people know about it.

I was thinking of him having bodyguards aswell as he may have many enemies or people who don't think its right to tell the future, so people could take on the roles of that aswell
