Semi-big ME3 reveal at comic con were picture(s) of the Femshep that will be postered alongside Sheploo. Marketing has given us six designs to pick from, and are asking the fans to pick their favorite.

Exactly as above! Somehow a female make's a much better renegade than a male does!

I think it's because Jennifer Hale delivers the renegade lines better than Mark Meer, whom I think does the Paragon lines better.

The Diablo 3 Auction House was announced during last week's press tour and I'm sure that news will be very interesting for most of the readers of this site, because most of us wonder if it will have any effect on the evolution of WoW in the long run.

Diablo 3's Auction House will feature two currencies, the first one will be in-game gold and the 2nd one will be real life money. Yep, you read it right, Diablo 3 will let you buy items with either gold or real life money! It's also worth noting that you will also be able to sell loot for money, and transfer that money outside the game. I guess gold farming just got interesting.
The amount of nerd rage is absolutely hilarious and I'm enjoying every moment of this.

I predict many heart attacks in far eastern countries of people working overtime in Diablo 3. I'm not sure to what extent such currency exchange is legally possible however. Team Fortress 2 offers "loot" to be exchangeable with other players, and it can also be bought from the shop for real money. But there is no way to wire back items to real money.
Given a large enough scale, that might conflict with the monetary system. Say... if item X has a certain value, then Blizzard building a system to produce it as many times as they wish is producing money. I think this risks getting recalled, if it's true.

Let me clarify this. As long as the system permits money to be "going in" the game, I think it's fine. But the moment it allows people to make money from it, is a different matter. Although.. Considering Eve Online.. hm.. Well.. Maybe it's possible after all.

Sorry for the derailment, but who here plays LoL, pre-level 11 and in the Nordic/Eastern zone? Wanna group up with someone as Karthus/Kog'Maw to bash in some Russian twatheads with possibly comprehensive people before the free transfer (Aiming for level 20 as my original team's in EU West and since I spent over 4,000 riot points on my Eastern account I ain't gonna ditch it.)

Assuming you can somehow remove the money you've earned from your BNet account to your bank account.
Then again, not being able to do that wouldn't make much sense in this case.
But...even if you couldn't you could use the money you earned to buy some other nifty item or that magical pony you always wanted in WoW.

While I fear for the health of asian gold farmers, Blizzard itself doesn't plan to sell anything in the AH. It'll be entirely player driven. Every item on sale was looted by someone at some point.

And the Internet furious.
Everyone seems to have forgotten that people have been buying and selling items for real money in Diablo 2 since forever.
People rage over how this will ruin the balance as it'll make the game "pay to win". But...it's a PvE game with barely any focus on PvP. It's not an MMO where you have to play with everyone else. Why care about how they got their items?

Aye. But that's the problem with any progressive game where you can buy yourself a fast lane. I think people reflect on the game with Wow still in their mind.
And people, all too often, forget they always retain the choice to "just say no", both to "pay to win" as well as the game as a whole.

Indeed. Although I don't think you'd really be able to call it a fast lane since the items will still have level requirements.
As for boycotting a game...Well, let's just say that what people say and what people will end up doing isn't necessarily the same thing

Ohh.. I didn't mean it on a large scale like a boycott per say. I just meant for their own person. If you don't agree with something, refuse to take part. It's a basic choice people seem to forget they have.

It's almost like people are brainwashed to play despite their discontent.

We were talking about the same thing, I just used a large scale example.

Hmm...come to think of it, technically you could make money in D3 to finance your WoW subscription.

I find it hillarious that people nerd rage over that.
And not over the statement blizzard did that you will -have- to be connecte with battle.net to play D3 because of the AH and other features. Thus not having an offline mode. For me that's the deal breaker. I like being able to enjoy single player games when at the summer/winter lodge that is netless, or when traveling on trains etc.

Agreed! While I appreciate the ease of access some internet things give, I'm tired of having to be hooked up to the net at all times.
Not sure if that will make it a deal breaker. And... Are you sure you will need B-net for the single player campaign? D2 offered both, after all.
