Where I'm at, my companions do the killing and I'm pretty much best off watching them do it. :/ Gonna stick it out for this save though, and then roll an evil, melee lone wanderer kind of dude next time around. :3

Well unlike your barbaric crucifying slaverunning hide, Vulpes Inculta kinda sold me on the idea of giving every legionaire I encounter new holes to breathe through. On this playthrough, atleast.

I had rather been in with the NCR, but they gave me a kind "fuck you" by shooting me while I was at NCRCF ratting on them about an impending attack.. So yeah, for Caesar!

The new Fallout games are nice, the elements are there but they lack the feeling of despair, the grittiness and the moral ambiguity the first two games had, it gets close at some occasions tough..so I'll give it the "All Clear Signal"

It's nothing compared to what I did at Camp Forlorn Hope though.. Let's just say it's less.. Populated these days.

Edit: Though I do think I'll start over, need to redesign the character a bit. Suggestions for a sneaky character?

I threw away 2k caps on an Anti-materiel Rifle for Boone.

It was worth the money. I can sit back with my Repeater, or get in close with my shotgun.

Personally I think Boone with a good gun(especially the AMR) makes the game way too easy. Unless I'm hunting Deathclaws.

And going on a whiskeyfuelled roaring rampage of revenge through the Mojave with Cass is hell of a lot more entertaining than having Boone headshot everything within 50 miles imo.

I'm not that far in yet on my new guy (Who, by now, is the guy farthest in), just made it to New Vegas for the first time. Anyhow, found myself two companions thus far: Boone and Veronica. To be honest, I don't see why one would grab a companion at this point, much more challenging to do stuff on your own (even though I'm on normal level difficulty, I just want to get the hang of the game first).

I love my scoped hunting rifle so far.. Oh, and my mercenary's grenade launcher proved godly in the beginning of the game if I got confronted with a few too many enemies.

Next playthrough: Technology based character!

Well, with Veronica and Boone there ain't much reason bringing. 'Cept that Veronica is brotier. They are both OP as hell(Veronica has 103 unarmed skill), so they make it utterly easy mode. Raul and Cass however, are p. much godtier. Though they take time to get.

Edit: Also, there isn't really much reason playing on higher difficulty than normal. The enemy health just gets raised, no Ai improvements or anything. So it doesn't really make it "harder". If anything, you should check out newvegasnexus.com for mods that actually make the game harder.
