Know what time it is?

Excuse me while I go squee like a fangirl now.

Its OpentheME3floodgates time!
Game Spoilers below (squad mates, game's intro, some details and personal input in red).
- Spoiler:
- “Probably got beat here, but I'm gonna post it anyway.
Got my new Game Informer, read the ME3 article. Game starts with Shepard on Earth, effectively on trial in regard to the events of Arrival (The final DLC I mentioned some pages earlier), and in the middle of the trial, the Reapers invade. Prologue involves Shepard's escape to the Normandy, and off to start finding those allies, fighting Reaper troops (husks of all the different species) the whole way.
Confirmed squadmates: Liara, Ashley/Kaiden, Garrus (if he's alive) and... James Sanders... (Probably family of Kahlee Sanders, protagonist in the ME: Ascension Novel) That must be the guy from the trailer, I don't remember.
Speaking of which, there's a screenshot of Ashley with her hair down, and she actually looks hot. (Maybe I shouldn't have cheated on her) Don't have a scanner, so wait till someone with one turns up.
Confirmed to appear, but not guaranteed as squaddies: Wrex, Mordin, Legion, and Anderson. Obviously, if they live.
The Illusive Man also plays a prominent role, and Cerberus is out to kill Shepard. Reason why is unknown at this point.
The game will by default feature a "previously on Mass Effect" comic to make decisions with if starting from scratch.
* The RPG elements are being beefed up, not going back to ME1, but giving more freedom with the character skills.
* Skill trees will be larger, and powers will evolve several times instead of just once, offering even more freedom.
* There is NO Multiplayer in ME3
* Weapons are ME2 style, with a set list, but mods make a return, not in the ME1 style, but allowing you to swap out different parts such as barrels, scopes, and so on, which effect both the weapon's combat performance and its appearance.
* All classes can wield all weapons unhindered now, but will have limited slots to carry them. Only the Soldier can carry all weapons at once. Probably means Adept, Engineer, and Sentinal will be limited to two, and Vanguard and Infiltrator will have three.
Also mentioned: The game will have numerous endings, some good, some bad, and who you have in your squad and which allies you recruit can have a drastic effect on which are available.
That's basically the gist of it, except for the sidebars filled with stuff everyone already knows.
It was mainly the prologue and the other stuff I mentioned. No mention of recruiting other allies except that once off Earth, you'll be turned loose as usual, to do stuff in the order you want.
Only other thing I realized I left out is that they watched a video of a segment involve a krogan vehicle train with Shepard riding along, and as it goes a Reaper comes down from the sky to attack. Shepard's vehicle is destoryed, and fighting the thing is impossible on foot. Then a Thresher Maw comes out of the ground and attacks the Reaper. The Thresher gets the upper hand by coiling itself around the Reaper, then drags it underground. It gets quiet, and seems to be over, then laser fire begins erupting from the ground, and Shepard decides this is a good place not to be.
It then trails off into a description of how everything is so much bigger than the previous games.”
Excuse me while I go squee like a fangirl now.

The reason I won't even try Rift:
It's just WoW with updated graphics.

Rift RP is bleh. Don't even bother. I have an active subscription and I already regret it.

It's basically non-existant, that's what it is. If you try Rift, just do it for the game's featureus.

Speaking Of minecraft, I've heard it's "addictive" somehow...although it looks bland and outdated In graphics you can build many thousands things but...I just can't see why people are so amazed by it.

Re: The "other game thread"
We don't care about the graphics (I rather have MC graphics than CoD modernwarefare 2 graphics tbh).
And we love the creative part (while running from Creepers and killing zombies).
Nothing hasn't got to be "omg wtf GRAPHIXXXXXXXXXXXGASM!" to be good or enjoyable.

In other news, Dungeons & Dragons Online rocks.
Re: The "other game thread"
Looks like the traffic from Bioware's forums might've crashed the images, here's another page with scans. And yea, that's the Ashley one - mind that what I posted was a quote from someone else ;p
On Rift itself or just the RP?Hmm... Elaborate please?
I'd reccomend watching this Zero Punctuation episode, Croshaw catches the gist of it heads on (in his own unique way).Speaking Of minecraft, I've heard it's "addictive" somehow...although it looks bland and outdated In graphics you can build many thousands things but...I just can't see why people are so amazed by it.

Re: The "other game thread"
I started replaying minecraft myself again. I have a keep town with a giant tower with a lava torch at the top above the clouds and a lava moat around the place plus a pretty cool entry point. Next on the list is to make an airship dock in the town and airships.
Also ingame Invedit and Misa's HD texture pack ftw.

It's an action space game, lacking depth apart from some nice visuals which get repetitive after an hour of playing.
Seriously.. it's booooooooooooooooooooooooooring >_>

Yesterday I played "Traffic Department 2192" again. Don't look at the new releases to find it. It's from 1993 or 1994. Yes, in DOS. God, the memories.
I still think Lt. Marta Louise Velasquez is fucking hot.

Clearly never played Freelancer. If you played Freelancer and loved it, because let's face it, you did, this game will devour you.
That said, there's not much to the game currently, max level is 100 and levelling is slow. I don't think there's any endgame besides PvP, but there are missions you need to be 10 people for in a group at pretty much all levels. You can only kill people 10 levels above or below you, so you're supposed to level in the same pace as the rest of the server and PvP your heart out, pretty much. It's also f2p, so I can really recommend it for anyone who is/was an FL junkie :3

I did play freelancer and I enjoyed it. Sadly i'm jaded for various reasons I won't mention I've played it and turned it off again *shrugs*.
I'd still play FL over this any day.

Re: The "other game thread"
Aware that the Victoria and EU discussion occurred many a page ago, but I thought the players of it might feel my pain.
This image just about squeezes in the entire Omani empire. The next couple of decades will probably see everything south of the Mamluks in eastern Africa belong to myself. As you can see, the Timurids have been beaten round the head. I've not really looked at Europe, central Asia, or western Africa until I saw that Timurids were prone to collapse soon. So, imagine my surprise when, for the first time in "only" twenty five years, I look north, and where before there had been a Golden Horde, Nogai, and Kazakh...
