Re: The "other game thread"
With my limited patience I found the only way to actually "finish" DA1 was to watch Saihna play it, and considering it more a movie. Finished DA2 just now, loved the main story line, as Geneviève said it's not black/white, and picking a side isn't nearly as easy as I expected it to be. Loved the involvemenet in the story from some friend-characters, although a few of them felt too far apart from the main storyline to really connect for me.
I did all side-quests before heading out of the first act, I supposed I hoped for a bit more involvement in side-quests after that. It began to feel as content for the sake of more content. Waves of generic mobs, collect item X, kill person Y. Decided to stay on the main path from then on, and I'm definitely not disappointed
First playthrough, Primal/Force mage, Vader would have been proud. will see what happens with a melee character now, but mage-aoe just felt rediculous.
Or... AC:B... Cleaving dragons, or spiderman-esque action through the streets of rome... choices.

My first playthrough was a elemental/force mage. That 100 fortitude passive talent is too godly for any mage.

The concept of a DA2 Class balance forum would scare the crap out of me, comparing my main character to say playing Isabella. Go mages.

Re: The "other game thread"
Haha indeed. Tho they pretty much made force mages a must have based on the fortitude passive talent alone ;o;

In Mass Effect: Arrival, Commander Shepard is sent to the edge of the galaxy to rescue an undercover operative who may have evidence of an imminent Reaper invasion that has been looming since the very beginning of the series. Returning and playing a prominent role in Mass Effect: Arrival is fan favorite Admiral Hackett, who is voiced by legendary science-fiction actor Lance Henriksen (Alien, Terminator).
Mass Effect: Arrival, the final DLC and 'bridge' to the release of Mass Effect 3 will be released on March 29 for EU4.88/560 Points. The Price suggests it'll be around the same length as Overlord and Kasumi.

Valve decided to ditch marketing companies to produce their adverts.
For the better, I'd say. : p

Re: The "other game thread"
Recently been going through my old playstation 1 games for a sake of nostalgia and to pass time in between my studies when I came across this old gem <3
Anyone ever played it?
Intro for it here, it's a cross between CGI and live acting.

Lead and Gold's free on Steam for the weekend btw, and it's like 4 euros to buy as well. Played it for some hours with friends, pretty fun once you get into it.

Re: The "other game thread"
Not alot of new infomation on " World of Darkness " mmo. Save for the month old trailer.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5Wsf31WIdY
Guild wars 2 however, is getting plently of updates. The Thief class looks promising.

Re: The "other game thread"
I think Guild Wars 2 looks awful. Unless the PvP is INCREDIBLE, and considering it's skill based it's going to have to be revolutionary in some other combat department to beat Mount and Blade for PvP, it's going to be a truly awful game. They've thrown away what was good about Guild Wars and added new functions we didn't really need. The RP community in Guild Wars was conexistant and the community the worst I have ever experianced in any game and I really can't see that changing.
I'm really negative about a lot of new releases but I've yet to be proven wrong. Maybe it'll happen this time? But I doubt it.

Re: The "other game thread"
To be honest. I think the majority of gamers are quite cynical towards new releases. It's just one of those things.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a really great game, it's so damn frightening, and the enemies, Check beneath for a video:
It's a survival horror meaning you can't fight back your enemies, you either have to run, or hide in the shadows (or die :p)

Re: The "other game thread"
Maybe just a little bit (dark areas and such), but Amnesia is a survial horror while Thief is I guess a stealth game.
