Hmm. Not sure about your latter question, I never play melee.

Arwen's changes are simply:

25% of xp - the game does level you WAY too quickly if you explore at all
Spoiler:

Time changes - changing the clock so for example from 1 hour = 1 hour or 1 hour = 6 hours. This can however kill you if you don't play clever with Hardmode turned on (death by dehydration after sleeping... not fun).

Changes to the HP per level / point of END for the Player. Similar changes to NPCs. This makes it harder to stay alive, and some mobs harder to kill. Changes to mob armour, weapons and loot (I think). Smarter NPC AI.

You move faster with your weapon holstered (a massive boon tbh). You don't run backwards as fast as you do forwards (good for realism, if harder to kite some mobs!).

More caps for merchants (about twice the standard, which is about right, the standard is WAY too low).

Rads and crippled limbs are now much more deadly.

The second one was kind off a general question to any fallout players here but i see how that could be very confusing xD
But maybe i should try downloading that one. Since it sounds fun Razz

That mod seems interesting. Especially since FNV is much more challenging in vanilla mode than FO3, where I was a wasteland demigod at lvl 10, at lvl 10 in FNV I sometimes had to leg it like a motherfucker, and I'm still not a wasteland demigod at lvl 26 just a well equipped wasteland asshole.

C-C-C-C-C-C-COMBOOOOO BREAKEEEEEEEEEEEER!

Enough fallout for the moment. I've been playing Deadrising and some Shank on le'sexbox. Have to say i'm loving both!

Nothing beats beating the crap out of zombies with household items and lots of gaffa tape. Replayability... infinite!

Yeah FNV seems a lot harder that FO3. But sneaking around with a sniper is more or less instant win against anything.

If you have enough sneak, and you ain't snooping around Deathclaw territory. I swear by the god damn gods, those critters can sniff you out and lay an ambush better than the vietcong.

Ouch man. I had a similar panicked duel with a radscorpion at lvl 3. Shame on me for thinking them as easy as in FO3, i had to use a shovel and run in circles to kill it.

Talking of which, there's a relatively pointless but ok mod which adds perks if you rob graves with the shovel. Which is missing from the game, grave robbing should be a no-no.

Especially in a world where it is for some bloody reason taboo to steal from slaving, torturing nasty bastards, who shoot me on sight. But not to steal from a town I just happened to walk into, assuming I don't talk to anyone...

I would never deny my Fallout chars are morally "ambiguous"...

However the whole "oh hello Nipton is full of crucified people" kinda made me kill the Legion on sight. They haven't done much to change my mind. Ah, the simple morality of a shotgun. Very Happy

My plan was to take get into his tent and take out Caesar!
Kinda failed when he started sending assasins after me which i guess means he wouldnt like me to stop by.
And i dont see whats wrong with robbing everybody as long as they dont know! And if they are dead they wont care at all!

If you continue the main story, and say to Benny you'll work with him, Casear forgives you for any crimes and allows you to enter his tent despite any previous crimes. Be sure to bring plenty of 'holdout' weapons.

Death to the legion. Glory to the NCR. Cool

When in doubt, equip metal armor and a lead pipe and go to town on some Legion recruits. Works better than guns anyway.

Well, you get introduced to Caesar way to late in the game to make the Legion to seem like anything other than a raping, pillaging barbarian horde. Which they happen to be... Hmm...

BUT I MUST KILL ALL BARBARIANS!
NO ROMANS, YOU ARE THE BARBARIANS!
And then the Romans where Huns.

I prefer a Republic with working democracy, education, government, transportation, agriculture etc rather than a horde of barbarians where the only reasonable fellow is the leader. And he has braincancer. So yeah.

It's either that or take over the strip yourself with a half invincible robot army!

I ran into a quarry full of Deathclaws, urgh. Needless to say they were a hassle. Especially the alpha male and mother deep in.

Which brings the question, what are your best methods to killing your standard Deathclaw and maybe even the stronger ones?

Sneaking with a sniper rifle from a distance, take out the big ones first then aim for the small ones.
If they start charging towards you cripple their legs.
I did the exact same thing with charging into the quarry..... I wanted to go to the strip but going around the mountain looked like a lot of work :F

Also has anyone here done Vault 11? I loved the story behind that one, especially the "twist" to its history.
