[A] House Helmsley seeking various assets

Greetings

A couple of months or so back I decided to piece together a bit of a noble house. That is to say, beyond the usual lonely noble or a Lord and his Lady. There are other noble families around of course, though I am unsure of how vast they are and additionally it is hardly that common. To clarify, this is not a guild, and those taking part are free to be in whichever guild they please as long as it does not compromise their allegience to House Helmsley. Many of the family members have ties to the Bloodwind Regiment, and as a member of the family or someone in their service, you will likely find yourself working alongside this guild on various events/campaigns.

The family itself is so far quite well fleshed out, and the focus on "recruitment" would fall other sorts of positions for now. These being various individuals sworn to House Helmsley's service.

Knights and guardsmen
Various servants

In regards to races, humans are definately preferred, but dwarves and gnomes will certainly not be declined because of their race. Draenei and night elves are very unlikely to fit but you are welcome to try and plead your case of course.

On the above positions

Knights and guardsmen - The noble and not quite as noble soldiers in the Lord Helmsley's service. Some sort of uniform will in all likelihood be designed for these, especially the guardsmen. I will personally help you aquire this, or even collect it entirely if possible. As for what it will consist of, well, sign up now and you might just have a say in it!

Various servants - Everything from stable boys to butlers to handmaids, basically the civilians in the Helmsleys' service.


That is all well and good, but what can you offer?

Quite simply, a lot of roleplay. This is likely to open several doors that may otherwise be complicated; access to the various events we make/take part in - Sometimes it may perhaps be hard to fit in as an individual even though such are usually very welcome. All in all, a sub-community to take part in, as well as a portal to a lot of bigger scale roleplay and world pvp.

This initiative has my full support and praise, simply because it's provided tons of awesome RP for many and it adds much flavor to the alliance community to have the Helmsleys around.

Would just like to send a nudge too. I enjoyed seeing so many Helmsley's around at the Campaign. Certainly made me very curious, and it is nice to see a big family of nobles for once, not just one here and there, but a real big family.

Was also fun to find out my poor Julia had been considered to be married off to one of the Helmsleys (if I didn't misunderstand that part). Made me a bit shocked and surprised, mostly cause it was roleplay I had never, ever bumped into.

Thumbs up for sure. If one of my main characters ever die I'll certainly keep the Helmsley House in mind for a new character.
